We’ve been sitting on the news of this exciting development for a wee while, and now it is live we are thrilled to tell you all about it! We will be teaching at the V&A Academy in October delivering a week long comprehensive natural dyeing course.
Our five day course at the V&A Academy runs from the 2nd to the 6th of October. Using Jenny Dean’s Colours from Nature as a foundation, we will be covering the traditional dyes as well as the use of mordents and modifiers to shift tone and expand the palette. We will also be looking at how to create natural pigments and stunning patterns through contact printing. In addition you will have the unique opportunity to experience behind-the-scenes gallery tours with V&A textile curators and exclusive object-handling sessions, bringing the renowned V&A collection and history of natural dyeing to life through hands-on learning experiences.
